MRC Industries, Inc. and Kalamazoo Area Runners would like to invite you to take part in this year's Kalamazoo Klassic!  This year marks our 34th anniversary and we are looking forward to once again working our sneakers off to provide a safe and fun community event!  Here's a brief schedule of events:

Friday, June 15: 

  • Kids' Klassic 1K & 2K
  • Pump and Run Lifting
  • Race Packet Pick-up

Saturday, June 16:

  • 5K Run & Walk
  • 5K Pump & Run
  • 10K Run

The race categories are the same as last year:

  •  Kids' Klassic 1K & 2K
  • 5 K Run Overall
  • 5K Run by Age Group
  • 5K Run Champions
  • 10K Run Overall
  • 10K Run by Age Group
  • 10K Run Champions
  • 5K Walk Overall
  • 5K Walk by Age Group
  • Pump-N-Run

As a reminder of last year's Klassic, here are some highlights:

  •  Hannah Norton from Union City, MI, was the Women's Champion in both the 5K and 10K events!  Congratulations, Hannah!
  • The winner of the 10K for the third straight year, Jason Drudge, also placed 4th in the 5K!.

And once again, a big "Thank You!" to all the volunteers and sponsors who helped make 2011 another great year for the Klassic!!

Now, let's get warmed up for 2012!
